Rio Royal - Petropolis Day Tour

Petropolis City is named after the king of Brazil, and is one of the most beautiful remnants from the 19th century Brazilian Monarchy. This city is where the king would go to “cool off” from the heat in Rio.
As part of our tour you will visit the Royal Palace, the Museum, as well as the Royal Gardens. These visits will all take place en route to the Ogev mountains which are situated up to 2000 meters above sea level.

Itinerary

A full day trip to Petropolis. A ride to the mountains of Ogev - a chain of mountains located rising up to 2000 meters above sea level and located nearby to Rio De Janeiro. After a scenic ride that will take your breath away we will arrive at Petropolis in the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace that serves today as a museum for the Monarchic Dynasty of Brazil and to King Dom Pedro the Second. We will also visit the Royal Church where King Dom Pedro the Second is buried, as well as the beautiful surrounding gardens. We will then stop for lunch at one of the local restaurants, and then conclude our day touring the antique cities of Halita. We will return to Rio De Janeiro in the evening.
